「壊れたレコードみたいに…」同じこと・話を繰り返す、という表現がありますが、レコードがCDによってほとんど駆逐されそのCDも配信で激減している今となっては、どの様な状況なのか説明するのも大変になりつつありますので、とりあえず図解。

壊れたレコード図解

レコードとは円盤に刻まれた渦巻き状の溝を針でトレースし溝に刻まれた凹凸を音として再生するものです。そこにある程度深いキズができるとキズの形状と方向次第で図の様な状況が発生することがあります。キズによって本来渦巻き状に進行するはずがループしてしまうのが「いわゆる壊れたレコード」です。またキズによって一周飛んでしまうこともあります。LPレコードの場合、33回転（=3分100回転）およそ1回転ぶん（3x60/100=）1.8秒程度が繰り返し演奏されます。

当日追記）通常、針は外側からスタートし、レコードは時計回りに回転＝針はレコード上を反時計回りに進行。

Normal record: Trace the spiral groove with a needle and reproduce the unevenness engraved in the groove as a sound.

When a scratch is deep to some extent, the situation like the right may occur depending on the shape and direction of the scratch.

The so-called broken record: In the case of the LP record, [33 rpm]
= 100 rp 3 minutes,
1 round = 3 × 60/100
= 1.8 seconds is repeated.
